Project Overview: Yogi Tea Display Tray Launch
The Challenge
A specialty tea company developed a new retail item for Yogi Tea to pitch to a major corporate buyer. The central packaging element was an angled display tray with a unique structural fold. Because it was a completely new structure, the complex fold was difficult to visualize from flat artwork files alone.
The Solution
We engineered a brand-new, high-strength angled display tray using 32B flute Kraft corrugated. The tray holds exactly 18 individual folding carton boxes of individual tea bags. This versatile packaging functions beautifully as a standalone retail item or as a stackable pallet display tailored for large club stores.
To ensure seamless production and secure immediate client sign-off, the project delivery included three critical visual components:
3D Rendering: Placed at the top of the presentation, a realistic 3D model shows the final assembled piece. This visual helps the client see the finished product and approve the design before mass production begins.
Dieline and Graphics: The flat blueprint layout shows both the structural dieline lines and the applied branding graphics in precise alignment.
Step-by-Step Instruction Sheet: A clear, visual guide breaks down the physical folding process. This sheet ensures that assembly teams, warehouse staff, and clients can easily fold the flat corrugated into the final angled shape without confusion.
Why This Matters
Clients often struggle to visualize a finished physical product from a flat vector file. Providing a 3D rendering alongside practical folding instructions prevents misunderstandings. The client gains total clarity on how the packaging looks, functions, and folds in real life before giving final approval.
